New Fallout Vegas: Dead Money

Dead Money takes us on the trail of the Treasure of the Sierra Madre, a casino located in southeastern California near the Mexican border. As usual, it's a radio message broadcast from a bunker on the Brotherhood of Steel, which lets you enter the thread of the search once the DLC installed. A warning alerts you when you arrive: the contents of the extension is for characters level 20 and over (you can quite get there before, but at your own risk) and once through the door bunker, you will be unable to return to the Mojave before we've finished this new adventure. And for good reason: only did you come to the origin of the message you pass out. The man who knocked you is Father Elijah the Brotherhood of Steel, which has plans for you. And you obey him wisely, he has endowed you with a collar bomb that can trigger remote. Charming!
Your mission is to bring Elijah to the treasure of Sierra Madre, a casino high-tech once designed by a visionary leader and charismatic but somewhat marginal. Residential villas surrounded by beautiful Mexican style, the place would be opened when the nuclear disaster occurred. Since then, despite toxic fumes spewed out by the former permanent air conditioning system, the ruins have not been totally abandoned: they are squatted by a strange people, the "Misty" at the sight of ghostly survivors who have adapted to the harsh living conditions of these places and now there stalking unwary treasure hunters. To arrive at the casino you infiltrate a highly secure real stronghold teeming with vicious traps and monitoring of holograms, you will need support. Elijah, who definitely believe in everything, has "recruited" three other unfortunate victims, equipped with the same necklace you: Dean Domino, a ghoul former star of the show biz a bit narcissistic, Christine, a human devoid of vocal cords communicates through sign language, and finally Dog / God, a super-mutant who suffers from a split personality. This is a very diverse team with which you deal yet!
Your journey consists of a dozen quests, takes place in three steps: First you must pick your companions in the district where they reside, and then coordinate the efforts of each to trigger the opening ceremony that will open the doors of the casino and finally conclude your case, will suffer some complications of course. The challenge offered is particularly pointed, including Hardcore mode. The Misty are formidable opponents, stealth, bouncy and somewhat suicidal (they do not hesitate to use their incendiary hand-to-body), which are until they have been dismembered! As for monitoring holograms, they give you the opportunity to use your talents discretion. Invaded by toxic fumes that eat away your vitality, places are full of vicious traps also sometimes difficult to detect. And as if that were not enough, radios and speakers causing interference with your collar, which can explode if you stay too long in the area or if you do not destroy them quickly. Your partners share some useful talents well face the inconvenience, but as they are with you at each turn, you do not always cover all these skills.
With a background solid and a heavy atmosphere, Dead Money disappoints yet at its gameplay, Entirely focused on action. You spend a lot of adventure to wander the streets or houses in ruins by delivering multiple battles against the fog. Phases of dialogue are ultimately scarce, and even if they involve some interesting choices, the role playing aspect is not sufficiently emphasized. This extension still allows collectors to get some original weapons as holofusil, lance knife or punch bear trap. You can upgrade your equipment and purchase supplies by connecting to vending machines to supply chips with the Sierra Madre. This currency, which is found everywhere, is also behind a successful unlock, like the hidden briefcases Dean whose research can significantly lengthen a life that revolves around 5 / 6 hours of play, finally aware that Dead Money offers support that contained a welcome feature that almost alone justify the investment: the ability to climb up to level 35 and unlock some unreleased talent. Fans will appreciate.
