Dreamcast Collection

After repeatedly Megadrive game compilations over the past decade, Sega, this time trying to titillate the fiber nostalgic players leaving very first compilation dedicated to the Dreamcast. The undeserved failure of the first 128 bits of history, which has suffered from competition at the time, he was ironically assigned a horde of admirers who continue to plebiscite excellent game library. Alas, this Dreamcast Collection is not the best way to promote the myth. For starters, this "compilation" includes only 4 games, which is extremely low. In such cases, it is reasonable to expect that the selected titles are among the best in the medium concerned to form a sort of anthology. And it's not really the case. If Sonic Adventure is a must, Crazy Taxi, Space Channel 5 Part 2 are just good tracks (the gameplay racing games and rhythm games has changed a lot since) and Sega Bass Fishing is the public still damn small fishing enthusiasts. Where are the Shenmue, Jet Set Radio, Skies of Arcadia and other Soul Calibur? Sega would book it for the compilations in future as the method - already experienced during the Mega Drive Classic Collection PC - which is to scatter the best games on several volumes? Moreover, it should be noted that all four titles are all included in the version proposed Xbox Live Arcade. Some of these ports (Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi) are already available on Xbox Live for 800 points each, others should leave in the coming weeks. It is therefore preferable to buy the unit to be able to form his own selection, that will not necessarily more expensive. Especially as this compilation is finally a DVD on which is engraved the four titles in question beyond the menu unsightly and uninviting that we welcome the launch, no effort has been made covering to enhance the content offered: no history of these games, no video or jacket artwork, No bonus, nothing, nada, nothing! Worse, once involved, it is impossible to return to the main menu and launch another title other than back through the Xbox Dashboard and restarting the comp.ugh the display to 720p and playability pad  360 turn out very pleasant, the Ports themselves are not free from reproach. For starters, if Crazy Taxi, Sega Bass Fishing and Space Channel 5 Part 2 are available in 16:9 mode, you must live with black bars on the side for Sonic Adventure, the best four. To make matters worse, Space Channel 5 Part 2 is proposed in its PS2 version (the only one ever published in Europe that has never been translated into French) and not in its original release on Dreamcast, which is still outrageous. In the same spirit, the soundtrack of Crazy Taxi has been changed due to rights issues. And the icing on the cake is still the need to pay 400 MS points for players who want to enjoy Sonic Adventure additions to the DX version, which is not included by default in this compilation.
