Emergency 2012

The new Emergency had to take advantage of the imminent end of the world, still scheduled for 2012 as everyone knows. Thus, while showing the roots of its predecessors, the app will then invite us to coordinate rescue units to intervene in places particularly emblematic of our good old Europe. An interesting idea that unfortunately is not necessarily very well exploited.

our mission, should you accept it, is to help poor citizens bullied by a gaggle of more or less natural disasters. The backbone of Emergency 2012 is composed as a campaign of 12 missions that take you to intervene on the outskirts of Cologne Cathedral, the Tower Bridge, near the Eiffel Tower collapsed or buried in a Munich snow. The game will even confront us with scenes of panic, rebellion or insanity induced by the imminence of the supposed end of the world, as in mission 10, which presents us with religious fanatics determined to organize a mass suicide Mallorca. In short, nothing will be spared in a game that at first glance looks just like a good old STR. The difference being that instead of testosterone-heavy grunts and tanks, verification of doctors, firefighters, paramedics and members of law enforcement.

No luck, the controls seem a bit rudimentary to permit relatively comfortable approach to every problem. For apart from the opportunity to highlight the urgent goals (such as a serious injury about to stay there) by pressing the space bar, Emergency 2012 is not much with its interface for your convenience. This observation may also unfortunately apply to the whole game We mentioned earlier that your flock are unable to take any initiative, well in the same vein, victims does not appear to self-preservation and generally expect to die like hams. Certainly, one can understand the bias in the early missions, but when you need to start some tight because a rascal in perfect health will not understand that staying next to a burning building is not good health, then you may be less inclined to indulgence.
The problem is that all these elements are ultimately only one of many flaws of the game quote pell-mell the will of app you impose old Cut-scenes In-game impossible to take you away sometimes what you were doing without pause to the game. A super nice element when officiated aboard a lifeboat near a giant vortex in the flooded streets of Hamburg. Half the time, your ship will end its unique crazy epic underwater, thus ending the mission. The only workaround for this problem is to learn each part of the course by heart and be placed accordingly. In fact, rather than disaster, this is the game itself that you end up fighting ...

Fortunately, Challenge and Free Play modes are a bit level. In both cases, you must manage your resources, buy your own response vehicles (fire trucks, ambulances, armored police vans decontamination, etc.). And try to save as many people in knowing that if you plant it and let the innocent die, the game will not end as long as in the campaign. The Free mode suffers from a slight lack of balance, because if the problem remains constant, the magnitude of the "disaster" is to be treated fairly random. It can then spend time cleaning the ravages of a dirty bomb before you spend time on things as insignificant arresting pickpockets. Challenge Mode proves a tad more interesting, sometimes by imposing manage multiple emergencies at the same time, while leaving much more room for error as the campaign. There remains to mention the multiplayer, which really boils down to a free mode playable coop. Nice on paper, this method actually proves difficult to practice online, players are as scarce as hair on the head of Fabien Barthez. In short, you have understood, if not everything is thrown into Emergency 2012, but the experience is too limited to persuade completely, especially since the sale price is actually not so small that it .
