Earthrise

What do we know exactly Masthead Studios, creators of Earthrise? Not much. We know that this is a small studio Bulgarian created a few years ago and whose Earthrise is the first major project. And when we say big project, we weigh our words because we are facing what is supposed to represent the MMORPG based on the new generation of its creators own words. Is that all? Unfortunately, if we're used to being blinded by ambition of some developers, we are also accustomed to falling from high to sometimes catastrophic results of the final version. And no real surprise is the case of Earthrise.In a futuristic post-apocalyptic, humans could survive only by safeguarding their personal data in computers. As a result, they are now able to use "body" at will, keeping their memories and skills. Practice to explain the respawn of the dead in a MMORPG . Whatever it is that the island of Enterra, which takes place throughout history, is divided into two distinct camps. On one side we have the Continomas, which represent power and tend to advocate a strict company to gain maximum control over the population, and the other we have the black (no relation to the color of skin), which struggle against what they call "oppression" of Continomas more freedom and hope, although sometimes their actions can be very radical. If we have here the two main factions, other "micro-factions" are added, allowing a little roleplay .As mentioned above, is a Earthrise MMO sandbox.  If the basic principle seems simple as pie, it is also the most difficult to implement. No classes, no races, it is the choices the player in the game it will take a direction quite personal. Monsters and quests you earn Battle Points, which are used to learn new skills.  Since there is no real tree of evolution, you are free to make a mixture according to your preferences, especially since it is possible to link its attack skills with additional techniques. Of course, if you put points in skills offensive, you put less in the crafting, which seems logical. However, the possibilities are truly many. All this could be very nice if not only Earthrise continually riddled with filthy lags .  Indeed, it is not uncommon that you try to shoot an enemy who is actually in a different position ... Moreover, the placement of characters is a recurring problem over that! At this level, seems to be Earthrise version alpha !  When some mobs appear squarely under water and you slowly strafe while you swim, we can say that the surprise is successful ... Except that it's just a bug . Unfortunately, the word bug may often invite themselves into your mouth with each discovery of new zone.For a visual standpoint, this is exactly the same thing. If you think you've seen the worst of the so-called "staircase effect", we just find a master in the field. The sets appear erratically and most effects are so ugly that one wonders if they are voluntary or not. This is all the more surprising that the textures are not too ugly, and some shots could have a certain charm, at least if the general environment does not sound as hollow and empty. Moreover, even with a beast of war as a PC, Earthrise and train like never freezes and crashes were frequent. From there, you think that the game fun disappears quickly, no matter how many skills at your fingertips ... And yet we can not say that the software lacked initiative. For example, the system of PVP can kill pretty much everyone, but not without consequences. Indeed, depending on your particular faction, the NPC may well take you hunting if you are considered a criminal. So, those who go on this way have an interest to be discreet and learn skills to meet, especially when we know that other players are rewarded for killing "teamkillers. Cowards can rest assured that there are protected areas where it is unassailable. Moreover, it is possible to ensure its objects so as not to lose in case of death ... Ah yes, because you lose all your items when you die, it is perhaps important that you know.Crafting system also appears to leave on grounds of interest. Each object, weapon or armor can be assembled and disassembled according to your skills. So, you may very well recover the pieces of an item to make another one if needed. In short, if Earthrise promises us many things, all breaks in practice due to a lack of finishing ubiquitous causing bugs , freezes, lags , and other crashes. Not only the title is unstable, but many elements have not yet been implemented despite promises from developers. Even if the game was free-to-play, we do not have already recommended in its current state, but when we know he's sold 50 € plus 15 € per month, one wonders how a box can dare we propose a game in such a state ... Although it is fashionable today to release titles far from finished, Earthrise really reached top highlight.
